A Half Century of Evansville Cartoons, the drawings of Karl Kae Knecht.

Opening reception, Thursday October 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Krannert Gallery.

On Display are original cartoons and drawings by Karl Kae Knecht that were donated to the University of Evansville Archives by the artist in 1962. UE's collection of approximately 3,400 cartoons is less than twenty percent of the work Knecht produced throughout his 54-year (1906-1960) career at the Evansville Courier, where he published at least one drawing per day.

Dr. James MacLeod will be also be signing copies of his book, The Cartoons of Evansville's Karl Kae Knecht: Half a Century of Artistic Activism during the reception.
