Earlier Update
Weather Update: UE Open on Wednesday, January 8
Since the winter weather began, teams from the Office of Facilities Management and Planning have been actively clearing sidewalks and campus roadways. Based on the latest road conditions, the University of Evansville will open for normal operations on Wednesday, January 8.
Please note that as of 1:00 p.m., Rotherwood Avenue remains closed near campus as large trees are blocking the road and we are awaiting cleanup crews from the city to complete work in the area. Lot A (near the Schroeder School of Business and Igleheart building) will be closed until the roadway is clear. Impacted employees are encouraged to park in Lot C. Employees needing to access offices along Rotherwood should consult their supervisor before returning to work. An update will be provided when the roadway is cleared.
Your safety is our top priority, and should you have any individual circumstances that warrant a modified work schedule please work directly with your supervisor.
Additionally, several trees around campus are also weighed down with ice. Members of the campus community are encouraged to exercise caution while walking to stay safe and be aware of branches. Avoid grabbing or attempting to move them.
If you have not already done so, we encourage everyone to sign up for ACE Alerts, which quickly notifies you of inclement weather, campus closures, and other emergencies. You can sign up for ACE Alerts here and register your phone number and email address. |
