The University of Evansville (UE) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its affiliated organizations at the 29th Annual Celebration of Leadership. This event, dedicated to honoring community servant leaders, showcased the innovative, collaborative, and courageous efforts of 109 nominees, with 39 distinguished recipients receiving accolades across various categories. Hosted by Leadership Everyone, the ceremony recognized excellence in areas such as Arts, Community & Neighborhood, Education, Government, Public Service & Environment, Health & Social Service, along with several special awards.

Among the deserving winners were the following University of Evansville organizations:

  • Transformational Inclusion Award: Evansville Promise Neighborhood

  • Rev. Kevin Fleming Award: UE Journey to Justice

  • Division Award for Business or Organization: UE Center for Innovation & Change

  • Recognition for Business or Organization Achievement in Arts & Culture: UE Dance Company

Other UE organizations and individuals nominated during the celebration included the University’s Pride Camp with the goal of empowering queer/questioning youth and allies to discover their authentic selves and build a caring, supportive community of peers. UE Vice President for Talent & Community and Chief Equity and Diversity Officer Dr. Rob Shelby was also nominated as one of the area's leading experts on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

These esteemed honorees exemplify a commitment to positive change, community engagement, and leadership excellence. Their contributions not only enrich the University of Evansville community but also make a significant impact on the broader region.
