The final farmers' market will be held at noon today (Wednesday, July 25) in the Ridgway University Center lobby.  There should be tomatoes, kale, cucumbers (if Arlen Kaufman brings his), and a few vegetable oddments.  As usual, proceeds will go to Tri-State Food Bank, which has experienced a greatly increased demand this summer.

In honor of the 2012 Olympics, UE Libraries is featuring Olympic athletes famous worldwide throughout the decades. The trick? Portraits are upside-down! Come participate in how face recognition works, and enter to win an Orange Leaf gift card and cool down with some delicious and healthy frozen yogurt. The final hint will be TODAY, Wednesday, July 25, when the pictures will be right-side-up! The drawing will be Friday, July 27 (opening day of the 2012 Olympics in London) This contest is open to the entire UE Community. Only entry forms with correct answers will be considered, and the winner will be contacted via UE email. “Inspire a Generation” and let the games begin!

The University of Evansville Aces Dance Team invites all eligible students to audition for the Dance Team for the 2012-2013 season. Auditions will be held on August 30 from 8 pm to 10 pm and August 31 from 6 pm to 9 pm. The first day of auditions will consist of learning a short, choreographed dance and practicing technique. The second day will consist of showing examples of required technique, preforming the choreographed routine, showcasing 1 minute of original original choreography to music (this should be prepared prior to auditions), and a short interview. Auditions will be held in the Small Gym of the Carson Center.

Information about the 2012-2013 season will be provided at the call out meeting on August 27 from 9 pm to 10 pm in Room 113, Carson Center.

A private or video audition may be arranged if needed and will be allowed at the discretion of the coaching staff.

There is a $20 audition fee. Please refrain from wearing baggy clothing during auditions. Footwear is required.

There will be a farewell reception for Lauren Hart on Friday, July 27 from 3-4 p.m. in the Office of the Registrar, Room 106 in Olmsted Hall.  Please stop by to say goodbye to Lauren and wish her well in graduate school!

The Fitness Center will be closed next week (July 30–Aug. 3) so the gym floors can be refinished.  Summer hours will resume on Monday, Aug. 6 at 8 a.m.

The July Pcard Cycle began on June 22 and ended Monday, July 23.  Pcards statements must  be reconciled and printed from SDG2 as of July 25 and submitted along with your receipts in a Pcard Envelope.  GL will upload on July 30.

Condolences to Robert Szurgot, manager of business systems in OTS, and his family. His father Joseph R. Szurgot of Georgetown, Texas, passed away Sunday.

Season ticket holders for the University of Evansville men’s basketball team will have the opportunity to win several special prizes and unique experiences as the Aces will hold the 15 For 15 Campaign beginning on July 25.

Starting that Wednesday, a drawing will be held each business day until August 15.  All existing season ticket holders who renew their tickets for the upcoming season will be eligible to win one of the prizes listed below.
