UE Reports Some of the Lowest Loan Default Rates in Indiana
|
|
The University of Evansville was recently recognized for having one of the lowest student loan default rates not only in the state of Indiana, but also across the nation! The report came from LendEDU, which provides information on student, personal, and home equity loans.
Using just-released data from the U.S. Department of Education, LendEDU reported the student loan default rates among over 4,500 colleges and universities in the United States. The report also listed the average default rate among each of the 50 states.
While Indiana reported a state average of 9.57%, UE was significantly lower with a rate of 3.30%. In a time when students and families are concerned about the costs of higher education, the University of Evansville is pleased to offer an environment where the burden of student loan repayment is much less than that of other higher education institutions.

UE Theatre Salon Series Welcomed Amy Attaway, David Hudson, and Lori Wolter Hudson
|
|
This week’s installment of the UET Salon Series, ARTISTIC & EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP, was held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and Amy Attaway ’01, David Hudson ’07, and Lori Wolter Hudson ’05. These three alums shared their experiences on working in theatre through an administrative lens.
Amy Attaway ’01 has served as the Artistic Director for Kentucky Shakespeare since 2016, after spending time directing with the theatre company. She co-founded Theatre [502], a Louisville-based theatre company. Amy spent five seasons as the Associate Director of the Apprentice/Intern Company at Actors Theatre of Louisville, where she trained young actors and helped to develop new plays.
David Hudson ’07 is currently the Executive Director for The New Harmony Project. He also co-founded the theatre company Three Day Hangover and has been working with the organization since as the Executive Director. As an administrator for NHP, he has facilitated a 70% expansion in operating budget and has more than doubled individual gifts from new donors. David has led the NHP through broad growth during his time as Executive Director.
Lori Wolter Hudson ’05 has been working with The New Harmony Project for over 15 years and currently serves as the lead Artistic Director. Before relocating to Indianapolis, Lori spent over a decade in New York City working as a director, adapter, and producer. While in NY, she co-founded Three Day Hangover. Lori was the inaugural recipient of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Charles Abbott Fellowship.
This semester, UE Theatre students will have the opportunity to experience twelve workshops with professionals from the entertainment industry.
