Upcoming Events

* Faculty Information Session on e-book options

There will be a presentation by RedShelf and the UE Bookstore in regard to inclusive Access e-books on Monday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Library Board Room. This is a popular new trend in providing course materials to students. RedShelf will be doing a demonstration as to how it works and how it can save students money. Faculty who would like to attend should email Doug Gustwiller at dg57@evansville.edu so that enough space has been set up for the presentation. If you have questions, please contact the UE Bookstore. Inclusive Access is designed for e-books only and NOT for print versions of textbooks.

The sessions will provide solution-oriented steps and strategies as well as resources for participants.

Participants must RSVP to lw161@evansville.edu by 5:00 p.m. on the Monday of the week of the session. Upcoming sessions are planned for July 18, August 1 and August 8.

Info You Should Know

* COMM 380 Offered ONLINE in Summer II

Would one class that fulfills several general education requirements and teaches valuable life skills interest you? Do you want to reduce your course load during the regular fall or spring semesters? How would you like to take such a course NO MATTER where you plan to be this summer? How about a course that provides useful communication knowledge that can be used every day both personally and professionally?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should consider enrolling in COMM 380 ONLINE (Intercultural Communication) offered in Summer Session II.

COMM 380 meets criteria for General Education Outcome 9 (Understanding of Core Concepts of Society, Human Behavior, and Civic Knowledge) and Overlay Component A (Global Diversity: International Component).

For more information, contact professor emeritus of communication Dean Thomlison at dt4@evansville.edu.

* Payroll Deduction Information

Many of our employees make gifts to UE year after year using payroll deduction. Maybe you didn’t know about payroll deduction or how to initiate the process. It is very simple – complete the Campus Campaign Pledge Form found on AceLink located in the Development and Alumni Relations area. Easy as that! There are two options. One is a yearly payroll deduction where it ends on May 31, 2019 and the other is a recurring payroll deduction that continues until you tell us otherwise. You can designate your gift to any area(s) on campus.

This is just one option for giving. Whether you decide to make a payroll deduction gift, purchase a UE license plate, give at a certain time of the year, or wait until Pep and Vim (April 12, 2019), all gifts are important and have immediate impacts on our campus and our students. Thank you for your True and Loyal support!!

If you would like more information on the payroll deduction process or giving in general, please contact Jennifer Calderone at jj130@evansville.edu or ext. 2021.
