* Reception for Barbara Pieroni

Please join us in the reception area of the Office of Study Abroad from 1:00-2:30 p.m. today to thank Barbara Pieroni for all her years of service and wish her all the best in her new adventures. (The Office of Study Abroad is located in Room 260 in the Schroeder School of Business Building.)

 

Upcoming Events

* UE Night at the Otters: alumni, parents, students, and employees welcome

The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations is sponsoring UE Night at the Otters on Thursday, August 4. A pre-game picnic will take place in the right field picnic area beginning at 5:30 p.m. Then the Otters will take on the Washington Wild Things at 6:35 p.m. Cost is $5 per person for a game ticket and picnic meal. Register online here

* Accounts payable will not issue checks the week of August 1

* Crescent Magazine columnist positions

Crescent Magazine is looking for two students who would like to be columnists for the 2016-17 academic year, specifically as the diversity columnist and the faith and religion columnist. These are one hour academic credit experiences, and you must be at least a sophomore to apply. If interested, e-mail Tracy Maurer at tm2@evansville.edu for more information.

 
* Ladies in Pink video auditions

Want to be a part of the sharpest looking group on UE's campus? Is a capella your forte? Beat the competition. Submit a 1:30-2:00 minute video of your singing and/or beatboxing abilities (without any instruments) to ladiesinpinkacapella@gmail.com by August 12 for consideration. We won't give the puns a rest until you do!

 
* Looking for some help during the fall book rush

The UE Bookstore is looking for individuals to help in the store for approximately two weeks during fall book rush. Activities include operating the register and stocking textbooks. If anyone is interested or knows of anyone who is looking for a little extra cash, please contact the Bookstore. 

 

Harlaxton Happenings

* David Green publishes book

David Green, senior lecturer in British Studies and history at Harlaxton College, is the co-editor of a new collection, The Plantagenet Empire, 1259-1453, which was launched at the recent Harlaxton Medieval Symposium.
