We are pleased to announce that on Monday, October 26, we will be opening the first and second floors of the Library to students and the UE community. We realize that the delay in opening has been frustrating to the campus as a whole, however, we hope that when you see the results, you will feel as we do that it was well worth the wait.

The hours of operation for the next few weeks will be as follows:
Monday – Thursday:  7:45 a.m. to midnight
Friday: 7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday:  10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday:  12:00 p.m. to midnight

Once construction on all floors is complete, these hours will be expanded. All services that had been provided the last several months by the Library staff in the Clifford building will now be available at the new information desk in the main building.  Study rooms on the fourth floor are not yet available for use, but two new study rooms have been created on the second floor. Access to the Library can be through the main entrance or via the new west entrance to the building facing the Ridgway Center. Access to the west entrance will require use of your student or employee ID.

You will notice as you visit the Library that there is still much work to do to finish the project, including pieces of furniture with imperfections, some areas damaged by the construction work and touch up on painting. Please know that we are aware of these items and will be addressing them over the next few weeks as well. Every effort is being made to minimize the disruption on the first two floors to provide a positive and productive experience for our students and faculty.
