* Visit UE - Summer Open House, July 18!

The Office of Admission is hosting its annual summer Open House on Saturday, July 18. If you have family members, friends, or neighbors who could benefit from a visit to campus, please encourage them to attend. They will join other prospective students from around the country in visiting with faculty members, learning about study abroad programs, discussing scholarship opportunities, touring campus, including residence halls, and enjoying lunch on campus. They can register online at https://www.evansville.edu/visit/openhouse.cfm or by calling the Office of Admission at 800-423-8633, ext. 2468.

* Free Sweet Treat at UE Bookstore Today from 1-3 PM!

The UE community is invited to the UE Bookstore today Tuesday, July 14 - for some free ice cream from 1 to 3 p.m. You can also double your employee discount during that time on any purchases if you want. Be sure to stop by and get a sweet treat and check out the new merchandise. 

 

Info You Should Know

* New date: Evansville Ohio River Sweep rescheduled to July 18 – help keep our Ohio River clean!

The annual Evansville Ohio River Sweep has been rescheduled to July 18 from 8-11 a.m. Meet at the Four Freedoms Monument. Trash bags for the clean-up are provided and volunteers will receive a free T-shirt. Volunteers need only bring work clothes and shoes.

Congratulations

* UE Wind Ensemble to Perform for College Band Directors National Association Conference

The UE Wind Ensemble has been chosen, by audition, to perform for the College Band Directors National Association, North Central Division Conference in February 2016 at Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa). 

 
* Knoester Publishes Book Chapter

Assistant Professor of Education Matthew Knoester co-authored a chapter entitled "Teachers as Cultural Workers," just published in the "SAGE Guide to Curriculum in Education," a reference book.
