* Farewell Reception for Brian Ernsting Is Today

A farewell reception honoring Brian Ernsting, professor of biology and assistant vice president for academic affairs, will be held Tuesday, July 22, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in Class of '59 Gallery and Lounge in Ridgway University Center. Brian has been a faculty member in the biology department at UE for the past 17 years, where he established himself as the consummate teacher-scholar. In the latter part of his career at the University, he began to take on a number of important administrative roles, including but not limited to chairing UE’s regional reaccreditation committee leading an outcomes assessment program on campus, and working to implement a revised general education core. Brian is leaving UE to become vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Wartburg College in Iowa. Please join the UE family to wish Brian continued success in his new role at Wartburg College.

Info You Should Know

* Vending Machine Price Adjustments

Due to higher costs in raw materials, labor and fuel, there will be a modest price increase on snack and beverage vending machine products between now and August 1, 2014. UE contracted vendors can no longer absorb these costs without making modest adjustments to the consumer. If you have questions or comments, please contact Kim Winsett in the Office of Administrative Services at extension 2940.

* In-House Office Supply Form - Revised

Effective July 11, Central Receiving will be accepting the newest version of the “In-House Office Supply Order Form” (dated 7/2014) with updated pricing. The revised “In-House Office Supply Order form” is available on the Central Receiving and Purchasing websites in AceLink. Please note that the older version of the In-House form will no longer be accepted as of September 1.

For questions, contact Kim Winsett via email at kw83 or extension 2940.
