Info You Should Know

* UE Email Migration

OTS is currently in the process of moving all mailboxes from our campus servers to Microsoft’s cloud-based service, Office 365. The most significant benefits that we will see include a dramatic reduction in costs and an increase of user mailbox storage space from the standard 700 Megabytes to 50 Gigabytes.

We are planning on moving all mailboxes by July 7. You will be notified by email at least 24 hours in advance of the migration of your email account.

Outlook Client
Once migrated, you will be prompted to enter your password in Outlook as soon as the transfer is complete. Please note, your username is your full email address. If the username reads “ACENET\username”, you will need to change this to your full email address. At this point, you can enter your username and password and close Outlook (it may prompt you to close). You should then restart Outlook and enter your username and password again if prompted, making sure to check the box to remember your password. Again, your username is your full email address.

Smart phones and tablets
Smart phones and tablets will need to have the accounts modified or recreated as they will be accessing a different server than what your initial configuration has. If you stop by the help desk after your mailbox has been moved, we will be glad to take care of this for you, or, if you would like to try to set this up on your own, this page will help by giving you the settings you will need;
iPhone-http://ots.evansville.edu/support/telephones/iphoneStudentEmail.asp
Android- http://ots.evansville.edu/support/telephones/androidStudentEmail.asp

Outlook Web Access (OWA)
To access email from your web browser, you will now go to acemail.evansville.edu instead of email.evansville.edu.   After July 7th, http://acemail.evansville.edu and http://email.evansville.edu will be available for webmail access.

We will be staffing the Help Desk phone line (812)-488-2077 for afterhours support starting on Monday, June 30 through July 11t should you have any issues.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact OTS. Also, please let us know if you use more than one mailbox, as those will need to be moved as well. If you experience any problems after the move is complete, please call the help desk at ext. 2077 and someone else will be able to assist you.

* Boil Advisory for Hale, Hughes, Powell and Library

A boil advisory has been issued for Hale, Hughes, Powell, and the Libraries until further notice. Do not drink, cook, or wash hands with water in these buildings.

* Payroll Department Relocation Notice

Effective June 23, 2014, the payroll department will be relocated to the Accounting & Audit department in OH213. Please contact Gloria Spencer at ext. 2159 for payroll related issues including wage adjustments, tax withholding, direct deposit, and W-2 reporting. For questions related to changes in benefit elections, timekeeping entries, vacation and sick pay, please contact Lisa Schum at ext. 2038.

All other employment related issues and questions should be directed to the Human Resources department at ext. 2943.

* Open House Facilities Preparations

In preparation for our summer Open House, a contractor will be installing mulch in various campus landscapes during the week of June 23rd. There will be some disruption of parking in the following areas to provide ample space for the contractor to position their truck:
Koch Center (Lot C)
Sesquicentennial Oval (circle drive)
Schroeder School of Business

Disruptions should be minimal and not last more than a few days. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this necessary project.
