I am pleased to inform you that this afternoon, the University of Evansville will formally announce the hiring of Dr. John A. Mosbo as the new senior vice president for academic affairs, effective July 1.
Dr. Mosbo currently serves as special advisor to the chancellor at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He joined AUS in 2005 as vice chancellor for academic affairs. Dr. Mosbo has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, including administrative and leadership positions at Ball State University, James Madison University, the University of Central Arkansas, and Gustavus Adolphus College.
Dr. Mosbo holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Iowa State University and a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado.
I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Mosbo to the University of Evansville. I’m confident that he’ll bring to UE a wealth of leadership and international experience, as well as a vision for making the University an even stronger institution.
