Associate Professor of Creative Writing Rob Griffith will be the speaker at the Creative Writing Coffee Hour Lecture set for 4 p.m. today, February 2, in the Peterson Gallery.

Griffith, a past recipient of UE’s Outstanding Teacher Award, received Indiana’s Best Book of Poetry Award in 2009 for his third collection of poems, A Matinee in Plato’s Cave (Water Press & Media, 2008) His fourth collection, The Moon from Any Window, was recently published by David Robert Books. Previously, he published two award-winning chapbooks, and his poems have appeared in numerous periodicals including Poetry, The North American Review, The Oxford American, Prairie Schooner, and Parnassus.  A graduate of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Arkansas, Rob Griffith is the co-founding editor of Measure: A Review of Formal Poetry.
