Info You Should Know

* Phone Scam for Credit Card Information

It has come to the  attention of telephone services that the campus is getting calls from a company with caller ID “ILD Comm” and phone number 214.969.5489. When you answer the call they ask for you to accept charges for a collect call and then ask for your credit card number.  This is a scam to get your credit card information.  Please either ignore this call or hang up immediately.

Congratulations

* Freshman Freeland Picked in 35th Round of MLB Draft

One day after Cody Fick was chosen in the 23rd round by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, the Phillies picked left-handed pitcher Kyle Freeland in the 35th round. Freeland, a standout at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colo., signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at the University of Evansville on November 16, 2010. The hurler owned a 7-2 record in his senior season with a 1.44 earned run average, 121 strikeouts, and just 14 walks. Negotiations will be in the works between the high school senior and the Philadelphia Phillies. Freeland would be a scholarship player for the Aces if he chooses to put off professional baseball for the time being.
