* NOON PRAYER @ NEU on January 16

SAVE THE DATE!

The Neu Chapel Office of Religious Life in cooperation with the Neu Chapel Society announce NOON PRAYER @ NEU: MEDITATION WITH MUSIC for Thursday, January 16, at 12:10 in Neu Chapel. The 40-minute service of music, silence, and the spoken word provides a time of contemplation, reflection, and inspiration for University of Evansville students, faculty, staff, and the larger community.

Music will be presented by Robert Nicholls, organist/director of music of First Presbyterian Church, Evansville. Robert was born in Cambridge, England to a British farmer and American mother from Carmi, Illinois. At the age of eight, he joined the choristers of Westminster Abbey in London under the direction of Simon Preston. He graduated from the Oundle School, and after a gap-year during which he studied organ at the University of Evansville, he earned two music degrees from Cambridge University where he sang tenor as a member of the choirs of Gonville and Caius and St. John’s Colleges. In 1996, he joined the staff of First Presbyterian Church where he directs the Wide Awake Worship band and the Royal School of Church Music affiliated choir, and plays the Fisk organ, Op. 98. In 2012, he won first place in the American Guild of Organists National Competition in Organ Improvisation.

NOON PRAYER @ NEU: MEDITATION WITH MUSIC will begin with the ringing of the Peace Bell. Refreshments will be available after the service. All are welcome.

Info You Should Know

* Master Campus Calendar Up & Running

The office of marketing and communication has finalized a one-stop shopping location on our website to make it easy to view all the activities of the University in one place. There is a link from the homepage of our website, but you can also go directly to it at www.evansville.edu/calendar.

It is easy to submit an item for inclusion to the calendar through the marketing request form. Please bookmark this page for easy access: http://www.evansville.edu/offices/marketing/projectrequest/. Please check the dates for events about which you are aware or are coordinating. If the event is missing from the master calendar, please use the marketing form to submit it.

If you have a long list of events that are similar in nature (recurring meetings or performances, for example), the office of marketing and communication will work with you to get them all entered at once. Please submit a request form and then e-mail the list to web@evansville.edu with Master Calendar Additions in the subject line.

We feel confident this master calendar will help the entire campus community. It will help avoid scheduling competing events, make the information readily accessible for ourselves and our visitors, etc.

Thank for you your help in keeping the calendar up to date. If you have any questions, please e-mail Lucy Himstedt at lh133@evansville.edu.
