University Organist/Professor Emeritus of Music Douglas Reed’s article "Robert Clark: Master Teacher" is published in the August, 2013 issue of The Diapason. This is an international journal devoted to the organ, the harpsichord, the carillon, and church music. Robert Clark taught organ performance at the University of Michigan and at Arizona State University from 1964-1998. His career includes the publication of a well-known scholarly performance edition of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orgelbüchlein, and a highly acclaimed first recording (2001) of the restored 1746 Hildebrandt organ in the Wenzelskirche, Naumburg (am Saale), Germany, an instrument tested and approved by J.S. Bach.
